Call for applications for the PVTRIN courses in Athens and Chania. Deadline: February 26 2013.

The Department of Environmental Engineering, Technical University of Crete, the coordinator of the European Initiative PVTRIN, and the Technical Chamber of Greece/ Department of Western Crete (partner of the PVTRIN consortium), announce the call of applications for the PVTRIN training and certification course. The course addresses to qualified electricians who wish to activate in the installation and maintenance of small scale PV systems. The Hellenic Association of Photovoltaic Companies, the Panhellenic Federation of Electrical Contractors Associations, the Association of Energy Producers from PV, the Hellenic Association of Photovoltaic Investors, and the Hellenic Association of Accredited Certification and Inspection Bodies (HellasCert).

 

The pilot PVTRIN training and certification course will be held in two rounds, the first in Chania (University Campus, Kounoupidiana Chania) and the second in Athens. The total duration of the course, which includes theoretical and practical training, is 54 hours. The PVTRIN trainees, who have complete the required areas of competencies and fulfill the assessment requirements, are eligible for the PVTRIN Certification. The total number of participants per training cycle is 20. The deadline for the applications submission is February 26, 2013.

 

The PVTRIN scheme addresses to electricians installers (who have the minimum level of license as it corresponds to “Group 1, A Specialty” or higher level) and holds 3-year experience in electrical installations or one-year experience in PV installations.
